At TrueBlueDive, your safety is our number one priority. We have more than 23 years of experience conducting dive operations, all with an untarnished safety record and we would like to keep it that way. There are some medical conditions that may prevent you from diving.
Medical Requirements for Scuba Diving Courses
All participants must have a medical clearance in any Scuba Diving Course except for an Introductory Dive (that it is not a course).
By TrueBlueDive policy it is compulsory to provide prior to start any course a Medical Certificate from any Medical Doctor stating that you are OK to participate in a Scuba Diving Course.
Joint with the Medical Certificate a Medical Declaration and Waiver Release need to be completed by the participant prior to the dive.
By TrueBlueDive policy is not compulsory to provide a Australian Standards Dive Medical AS4005.1. but is recommended that you should do it if you have any doubt especially if you are under the age of 18 year or 45 years and over.

General Fitness condition required for Scuba Diving Courses
Scuba diving is a water related activity therefore participants need to make sure that they are not only medically but also physically capable to confront the open ocean environment.
For all courses we conduct a water skills assessmentor a Safety Swim Test for all participants that includes: 300 meters swim non-stop at their own pace in any style and 10 minutes treading water. During the test the participant is NOT to wear wetsuit or snorkel equipment.
Medical Requirements for Introductory Dives, Dive Camp, Dive Adventure and certified divers Dives
Only a Medical Declaration and Waiver Release need to be completed by the participant or certified diver prior to the activity or dive. If you have any pre existing medical condition, recently had surgery of any kind or take medication for a chronic condition and can’t signed it, we will require that you bring a Medical Certificate from your doctor stating that you are fit to dive. This certificate must be issued within 3 months of doing the diving activity.
